ALICE 2025 - CAST RESOURCES

Our 11th Annual Production of Alice will be performed at Bedford Middle School on the weekend of May 17th & May 18th!

All dancers enrolled in our program and who are in Grade 1 or above are eligible for the show. And all dancers who audition will be part of the show! Note that particularly for our younger dancers, the auditions are merely a formality — all dancers will be cast right along with their age group.

12:30 - 1:30pm - Lead Teardrop 

12:30 - 1:15pm - Queen of Hearts & Alice 

1:15 - 2:00pm - White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts & Alice 

1:30 - 2:30pm - Pearls 

2:00 - 2:45pm - White Rabbit & Alice 

2:30 - 3:30pm - Cheshire Cat 

2:45 - 3:30pm - Tweedle Dum, Tweedle Dee & Alice 

3:00 - 3:45pm - Caterpillar

3:45 - 4:30pm - March Hare

PARTICIPATION FEE

  • There is a $475 participation fee per dancer

    • For families with more than one dancer participating in the show, there will be a sibling discount - each family's additional dancer's participation fee will be $435

    • The online sign-up must be completed prior to auditions on Saturday, January 11th for your dancer to be cast in the show

  • Payment must be received by your dancer's audition day (Saturday, January 11th)

  • Your dancer can bring a check (written out to Westport’s Academy of Dance) to the audition or your credit card on file will be charged at the end of the audition day. Please put your check in a sealed envelope with your dancer's full name and grade on the outside of the envelope

    • If paying by check: siblings must bring separate envelopes with separate forms of payment, each labeled with name and grade

    • Credit card transactions will be subject to the 3.5% processing fee

Registration Details for Parents with Dancers in Grades 1 or 2 or Parents with a Dancer New to the Production:

In order to sign your dancer up, please complete the following three steps:

1. Sign your dancer up for Alice Participation Online

  • This online sign-up must be completed prior to auditions on Saturday, January 11th for your dancer to be cast in the show

2. Attend the mandatory parent meeting on Saturday, January 11th

  • One Parent from each family must attend the 10:00am meeting on Saturday, January 11th

  • There is a lot of important information regarding the production (new Parent Information Sheet) and volunteer commitment from the parents that will be explained, so again, it is mandatory that any new parent or parent of a dancer in Grades 1 or 2 attend.

  • If your dancer is returning to the show and he/she is in Grade 2 or below - parent attendance at one of these meeting sessions is still required

3. After the parent meeting, complete the Online Parent Survey

Registration Details For all Parents with Returning Dancers in Grade 3 and Above who are NOT new to the production:

There are two steps necessary in order to sign your dancer up, both need to be completed by Friday, January 10th at 6:00pm:

1. Sign your dancer up for Alice Participation Online

  • This online sign-up must be completed prior to auditions on Saturday, January 11th for your dancer to be cast in the show

2. Please complete the Online Parent Survey

  • Please read all carefully as there are changes from previous years

REHEARSAL INFORMATION

Rehearsals for the show will take place on weekends during the following time slots:

• Grades 1 thru 4: Saturdays between 11:00am - 4:00pm

• Grades 5 and up: Saturdays between 11:00am - 5:00pm & Sundays between 12:30pm - 5:30pm

Note: these times are only windows of times we ask that parents leave open for rehearsals - dancers will not be called for five hours! Rehearsals are announced each Tuesday evening for the upcoming weekend, and your dancer might be called for one hour one week, not called the next, etc. We will also do our best to work around conflicts such as soccer, etc. The times that dancers are called for any dress rehearsals or tech rehearsal (May 3 and beyond) may be outside of the windows listed above.

*Rehearsal schedule will be posted each week on Tuesday evening on this resources page and at the office window at the studio.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

  • In-Studio Dress Rehearsal - Full Cast - Saturday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 4th (specific times TBD)

  • Tech rehearsal on Saturday, May 10th - Bedford Middle School

  • Mandatory Dress Rehearsal on Thursday, May 15th AND Friday, May 16th - Bedford Middle School (after-school hours)

  • Performances are the weekend of May 17th & May 18th - Bedford Middle School
