KEY DATES

December 14th & 15th: For Grades 1-5, there will be no rehearsals called - this will be a 'free' weekend for those age groups so families can make plans for holiday parties, etc, without worrying about conflicts

- Grades 6 and above might be called on one of these dates

Show WEEK:

Monday December 16th & Tuesday 17th: As the studio will be closed for regular classes by this point for the holiday break, we will hold in-studio Dress Rehearsals on these dates during after school hours

Wednesday December 18th: Tech set up day and rehearsal at SHS

Thursday December 19th: Tech rehearsal at SHS (full cast ) Mandatory for all dancers

Friday December 20th: Dress rehearsal at SHS (full cast) Mandatory for all dancers (note this will start around 2pm as students have early dismissal from school for the break - this will allow us to finish Dress rehearsal MUCH EARLIER than we have in past years, meaning dancers will get home to bed at a reasonable hour before show weekend)

Saturday December 21st: 2 Shows (1pm & 5pm)

December 22nd: 1 Show (2pm), Cast Party immediately following show

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

For ALL Dancers:

There is a $475 participation fee per dancer. For families with more than one dancer participating in the show, there will be a sibling discount for each family's additional dancer (each additional dancer $435). Payment must be received by the audition day.

  • Credit card payments can be made online when you complete the registration on the Parent Portal. That charge will be subject to the 3.5% processing fee.

  • If you prefer to pay by check, please plan to bring a check on the day of the audition in a sealed envelope with your dancer's full name and grade on the outside of the envelope.

Note if paying by check: siblings must bring separate envelopes with separate forms of payment, each labeled with name and grade.

For ALL parents with dancers in grades 1 or 2, or parents with a dancer that is NEW to the production:

In order to sign your dancer up, please complete the following three steps:

  1. Register your dancer for Nutcracker participation on the Parent Portal by 6:00pm on Friday, 9/13 - by clicking here

2. Attend a mandatory parent meeting on Saturday, September 9th during your child’s audition time. One parent from each family must attend one of these meetings: 10am, OR 2:15pm. There is a lot of important information regarding the production and volunteer commitment from the parents that will be explained, so again, it is mandatory that any new parent or parent of a dancer in grade 1 or 2 attend.

(Parent meetings will take place inside one of the studios upstairs. Parents will be asked to remove their street shoes when they enter the studio and to please refrain from bringing in any beverages.)

(Note: even if your dancer is returning to the show, if he or she is in grade 2 we are asking parents to attend a meeting. You are only exempt if you have an older dancer in the production who has participated for three years or more.)

3. After the parent meeting, fill out the Online Parent Survey by clicking here

For ALL parents with RETURNING dancers to the production in grade 3 and above:

There are two steps necessary in order to sign your dancer up, both need to be completed by 6:00pm, Friday, 9/13.

  1. Register your dancer for Nutcracker participation on the Parent Portal by 6:00pm on Friday, 9/13 by clicking here
(This online sign up must be filled out prior to auditions on Saturday for your dancer to be cast in the show.)

  2. Fill out the Online Parent Survey by clicking here
