April Break - Ghostlight Theater Camp

We are thrilled to welcome the talented team from the esteemed Ghostlight Theater Camp to our facility and to invite Academy Students to participate in this weeklong intensive session!

Ghostlight Theater Camp is so excited to bring their high caliber musical theater staff to Westport this April for the first time. The spring break camp, running April 10-14, will offer a preview of their upcoming summer, with workshops focusing on choreography from The SpongeBob Musical and The Prom!, with Broadway Dance Center teacher Cara Leggio. There will also be two workshops with Michael Fatica and Amanda LaMotte, from Broadway’s Beetlejuice! and Hello Dolly!.

In addition to these classes, Chris Murrah, Ghostlight’s co-director, will be teaching audition techniques, improv, and scene study classes for students interested in musical theater. Chris is a world-renowned director of theater and opera, who taught acting and movement for five years at Yale University and is now a guest artist for universities around the country.

Ghostlight Theater Camp is an overnight summer camp in Oakland, ME.  They produce two festivals each summer of plays and musicals, and bring the best of theater and dance training, along with the best of summer camp programming, together in the beautiful lakes region of Maine. Their faculty is a perfect blend of Broadway professionals and innovative artists who are changing the landscape of the performing arts by marrying focused training with ensemble values that celebrate the work of the collective. At Ghostlight, the drama takes a back seat to the collaboration and artistry.

Join us this spring in Westport for a week that will be sure to leave you feeling invigorated and challenged, ready to take on the next phase of training!
