With Gratitude

Never in my 33-year experience at The Academy - as a Student, Teacher, and now Director - has there been a time when we couldn’t enter the studio together… where our performances had to be postponed… where we couldn’t smile, laugh, and experience moments face to face.

Never before have I seen such resilience, such compassion, such a definition of community… as we slowly and safely transition on a path leading towards our new normal with many lessons learned. I look forward to the coming days with excitement and anticipation - absence does in fact make the heart grow fonder. My heart goes out to our essential workers, healthcare providers, fellow local business owners… our community that has endured such challenges and proven that collective strength prevails.

Thank you to our Parents, Students, and Teachers for staying so connected while we are physically apart - for your positivity and support as we have pivoted. And for embracing our love of dance as momentum towards tomorrow. Our town is strong, our community is resilient and for that I am grateful. Looking forward to seeing you at the studio with smiles and excitement!
